We are soon to have a shiny new web site that Mel is going to create for us. We have been talking about doing this for years and several abortive attempts have been made at creating one. This year seems to be a good year to do it as we won two cups this year; one for best site and the other was won by Jason for the best individual plot. We haven't done as well as this for quite a while. I believe that we have a wonderful community and everyone is generous and helpful. Last year when I should have been digging my plot I had a broken foot. As you can imagine; digging was out of the question, I thought I would be struggling to catch up all season. Nothing could have been further form the truth. My "next door" neighbour Susie, on the site dug over the great majority of my plot even making deep beds up. This meant I could start growing at the same time everyone else and enabled me to keep my plot tidy.
The allotment is a wonderful way to keep fit and healthy. It wins hands down over a gym and what's more is a fraction of the membership fee and you get veg at the end. What could be better!
